Ontwa Township Police report that two Indiana men died after an accident on M-62 just after 11 a.m. on Saturday. Edwardsburg Police Department responded a two car accident just south of May St. in Ontwa Township and found a 48-year-old and a 46-year-old.

2 men killed in Edwardsburg crash over Labor Day weekend

Two men were killed in a two-vehicle crash in Cass County over the Labor Day weekend, WSBT reported. The crash occurred Saturday morning near the intersection of M-62 and May Street in Edwardsburg, Mich., ABC 57 reported. An obituary published in The Elkhart Truth Tuesday says Philip A. Philippou, 48, of Granger and Edwardsburg, died in a two-vehicle crash that occurred Saturday at the same intersection. For more on the story, visit ABC 57 and WSBT'€™s websites. One victim was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, and the other later died at an area hospital, ABC 57 reported.

Phillip Philippou, Andrew Clark remembered as family-oriented, community leaders after crash that killed Edwardsburg men

Friends and family of both men described them as caring and friendly, and said Edwardsburg lost two community leaders that day. Philippou was the owner of Maple Cafe, a local diner, while Clark was the chief operating officer of North American Forest Products Inc.
