Alcohol a factor in East Side crash that injured 6, police say.

St. Paul police suspect alcohol was a factor in a two-car collision Wednesday night that injured six people, at least two seriously, police said Thursday.

The crash was reported near Maryland Avenue East and Johnson Parkway around 8:45 p.m. St. Paul police say 23-year-old Jim Xion was driving with one passenger. According to police, Xion collided with 44-year-old Tou Lee, who had his three children in the car. Lee and his 10-year-old son were ejected. All victims were taken to Regions Hospital and were in serious condition when they arrived Wednesday, police said. Police believe speed and alcohol were factors in the crash.
