Three in critical condition following Henderson crash

HENDERSON '€” Minnesota State Patrol has released the names of people injured in a head-on vehicle crash Sunday afternoon west of Henderson that temporarily closed Highway 19. The Milan was traveling eastbound on Highway 19 when it crossed the centerline and struck a westbound Chevrolet Avalanche. A second helicopter takes off transporting victims of an accident Sunday on Highway 19 one mile west of Henderson. Passengers Ebony Liebl, 19, of Arlington, and Devon A. Estes, 19, of St. Hipp's condition was listed as critical Monday morning.

The family of a 19-year-old Arlington woman who was critically injured in a head-on vehicle collision Sunday near Henderson have begun the process of donating her organs and are making arrangements for her memorial service. Liebl was a passenger in an eastbound vehicle that crashed head on with a westbound vehicle Sunday afternoon west of Henderson on Highway 19, the State Patrol said. The other driver, Donald J. Tauer, 56, of Morgan, and his passenger, Catherine Tauer, 55, of Morgan were transported to Minnesota Valley Hospital in Le Sueur with non-life threatening injuries.

Head-on crash southwest of Twin Cities kills 19-year-old

A head-on crash on a highway southwest of the Twin Cities has claimed the life of a 19-year-old woman who was among five people injured in the two vehicles, authorities said Sunday. Ebony M. Liebl, of Arlington, Minn., died at Hennepin County Medical Center on Thursday, according to the medical examiner'€™s office. Surviving their injuries in the pickup were a couple from Morgan, Minn., Donald J. Tauer, 56, and Catherine M.S. Tauer, 55, according to the patrol. Seriously injured in the car were the driver, Kristopher J. Hipp, 27, of Arlington, and Devon A. Estes, 19, of St. Authorities have yet to say why the car entered the opposite lane on the highway, which the patrol said was wet from rain at the time.

Driver In Fatal Crash Facing Vehicular Homicide Charges

A driver involved in a fatal crash on Aug. 16 is facing a felony count of criminal vehicular homicide. The criminal complaint says Ebony Liebl, a passenger in Hipp's car, died from injuries she suffered in the crash. In addition to vehicular homicide, Hipp faces three counts of criminal vehicle operation. Kristopher Hipp was charged late last year in the deadly head on crash west of Henderson on County Road 19. The complaint says law enforcement found bags of methamphetamine and a blood test found drugs in his system.
