Man in wheelchair struck by hit-and-run driver in downtown Rochester, Minnesota

According to the Rochester Police Department, the hit and run happened around 5 p.m. Monday at the intersection of 1st Street NW and North Broadway Avenue. Police said a man crossing the road in his wheelchair was hit by a black SUV. The vehicle then fled west on West Center Street. The victim was taken to Saint Marys Hospital by Gold Cross Ambulance. The extent of his injuries are unknown at this time.
