A pedestrian who was struck and killed Saturday morning in Union County has yet to be identified.

An MHP spokesperson says Gregory Bertinato, 49, of Biloxi died in a traffic accident at mile marker 57 near the Myrtle exit around 1:45 a.m.

A middle-aged male pedestrian was found dead near mile marker 57 on Highway 78 after he had been struck by a vehicle. The man was wearing a plaid shirt, khaki pants and tennis shoes. Police have not yet been able to identify him. Anyone with information about the identity of the pedestrian is asked to call MHP at (662) 534-8650.
