Cason Park, 25, killed, after he is struck by a hit-and-run driver while walking from his disabled vehicle on U.S. 82 near Starkville, Mississippi

Mississippi authorities are searching for the driver in a hit-and-run accident resulted in the death of a Gordo man early Sunday. Mississippi Highway Patrol officers believe that Cason Park, 25, had experienced car trouble and was walking on the side of U.S. Highway 82 at when he was struck, said police. The driver left the scene, which happened at 4 a.m. in Oktibbeha County. Officers found a disabled Chevrolet Impala registered to one of Park's family members about a quarter mile west from the site of the accident, police said.
