Fatal accident Madison Co.

At around 1:16 A.M. Sunday, MHP responded to an accident on MS 43 near Cauten Rd in Madison Co. involving a pedestrian and a vehicle. There are no witnesses to the initial accident. Shortly after the pedestrian was struck, a Ford Explorer was traveling northbound and struck the pedestrian laying in the roadway. The accident is under investigation. After a preliminary investigation, Trooper Eric Henry reports a white male was walking northbound on Hwy 43 when he was struck by a vehicle that left the scene.
