Motorcyclist killed in Independence crash
Authorities said as one motorcycle was traveling east when it struck a vehicle driven by a woman who was attempting to make a left turn from a parking lot to westbound Truman Road.
After the initial collision, the motorcyclist was struck by a second motorcycle traveling east.

Police say Trey M. Rooks was driving a black Harley Davidson north on I-435 when he went off the roadway into the grassy median to the left of the northbound lanes. Rooks was attempting to re-enter a lane of travel to head north on I-435.
