Overnight crash leaves 5 injured

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — An overnight crash left five people injured in Kansas City on Sunday. Authorities responded to a call of a crash at 116th Street and Blue River Road at approximately 1:30 a.m. They said a car heading south of Blue River Road with five passengers left the road and struck a tree. One received life threatening injuries, two received critical injuries, and the remaining two received serious injuries. Police are still unsure what caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle.
