Police investigating double fatal accident near downtown St. Louis
Emergency crews responded to a fatal crash on I- 44/ 55 near downtown St. Louis Sunday afternoon. Two people were killed when their car crashed into the back of a tractor-trailer.

Driver Taron Tailer, 30, and passenger Nicholas Perkins, 23, were pronounced dead at the scene after the crash about 2:30 p.m. in the eastbound lanes. That stretch of interstate near downtown is also designated as northbound Interstate 55.
