Wrong-way crash in eastern Missouri kills 3
The patrol identifies those killed in the crash as 26-year-old Robert S. Batson of Sullivan, 32-year-old Sushma Settipalli and 2-year-old Mahidhar Settipalli. The patrol says Batson was in the car that was traveling the wrong way on the highway, and the Settipallis, of Plano, Texas, were in the minivan.
The patrol says five other occupants in the minivan sustained injuries ranging from minor to serious.

Five other passengers of the Toyota Sienna are being treated in local hospitals for moderate-serious injuries. All but one passenger are from Texas.

Just before 4 a.m., Robert S. Baton, 26, of Sullivan, Mo., was traveling eastbound on Interstate 44 near mile marker 236, when his 2004 Sab 2.0 struck the front left corner of the 2013 Toyota Sienna driven by Sushma Settipalli, 32, of Plano, Texas.

Three other Plano residents -- a 21-year-old man, a 39-year-old man, and a woman whose age was not given -- were transported to area hospitals. Their injuries range from minor to serious, officials said.
