Six people were injured - one of them critically - following a four-vehicle crash Sunday night.

The accident happened at approximately 7 p.m. Police say a Chevrolet Tahoe was traveling east on Lake Mead Boulevard, when it ran a red light and struck a Nissan Maxima that was traveling south on Lamb Boulevard.

The collision sent the Nissan into a Hyundai Sonata and New Flyer bus that were stopped at the light on northbound Lamb at Lake Mead.

The two occupants of the Tahoe, the driver of the bus, the driver of the Hyundai and one other person suffered minor injuries. The 63-year-old driver of the Nissan was taken to University Medical Center with critical injuries.

A Metro officer on scene said it is possible alcohol played a factor. Police say they found empty containers under one of the vehicles. The crash remains under investigation.
