Lamb Boulevard, south of the 215 Beltway, is shut down after a multi-vehicle crash killed three people and left a fourth in “extremely critical” condition, North Las Vegas police said.

“In this particular part of the roadway the likelihood that these vehicles were traveling in excess of 40, 45, 50 mph is likely, and that impact was really head-on between the two vehicles, so there is quite a bit of force exerted from one vehicle to the other,” the North Las Vegas Police Department's Sgt. The fatal collision occurred at approximately 5 p.m. when a Nissan car on Lamb crossed the center lane and crashed into a Toyota Camry carrying three people. Those three people were pronounced deceased at the crash site and the male driver of the first car was transported to University Medical Center, where he died on Thursday. Authorities believe speed was a factor in this crash. The deceased were later identified as Allison Lai Ling Uyematsu, 26, John Thomas, 50, and Sheryl Cam Uyematsu, 56, who were in the Camry. The Nissan driver was 28-year-old Deonta Lozada Walker.
