Toll Booth Fire Shuts Down Ramp On Everett Turnpike InNH

A pickup truck crashed and burst into flames at a toll booth in New Hampshire Thursday afternoon. The truck was at the Exit 11 southbound on-ramp on the Everett Turnpike in Merrimack when it hit the toll booth and caught fire. No other information about the crash is available, but police say the ramp will be closed for '€œan extended period of time.'€

The crash occurred on the southbound side of the highway at exit 11. Transportation officials said the exit 11 southbound on-ramp and the Merrimack Tolls were closed. Drivers were encouraged to seek alternate routes. It'€™s not known if there are any injuries.

State police identify driver in deadly toll booth crash

A driver who died when his car slammed into a toll booth in Merrimack last week has been identified. McDonough then took the exit and slammed into the side toll booth at a high rate of speed, according to authorities. State police said the same red BMW nearly struck a trooper who was working at a construction site just north of exit 11. Authorities received a report Thursday around 1:15 p.m. about a red BMW driving erratically on the Everette Turnpike in Bedford and Merrimack. State police say John McDonough, 27, of Merrimack, was killed in the crash.

it was not a pickup truck it was a small red car as we came upon crash about 45 sec after it happened - no way to tell what kind of car exactly but definitely a small car
