Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run accident in Newmarket

Newmarket police and state police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run accident on Grant Road. Police are looking for a black Volvo that should have extensive front-end damage. Police said the Volvo, which has New Hampshire plates, was last seen traveling northbound on Grant Road around 3 p.m.

Wallace, of Newmarket, was transported to Exeter Hospital and remains on life support, according to police.
