2 die in Route 523 crash in Readington

Two  people were killed in a two-vehicle collision in the area of Route 523 and Barley Sheaf Road on Friday, according to Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns III.

Kearns said there were others injured in the crash. All involved in crash live locally, he said.

Friday's fatal crash in Readington results in charges

Mr. Cabezas was charged with two counts of 2nd Degree Death by Auto, three counts of 4th Degree Assault by Auto, Reckless Driving, and Driving Under the Influence. He was not injured in the crash. Bail was set at $250,000 by the Honorable Bruce Jones, J.S.C. and he was lodged in the Somerset County Jail awaiting a first court appearance.

Driver in crash that killed N.J. grandparents in court Monday

Cabezas, 23, of Readington Township, is being held in Somerset County Jail on $250,000 bail. His hearing is set for 1:30 p.m. in the state Superior Court in Hunterdon.
