The accident, involving a vehicle and a tractor-trailer, happened just after 8:45 a.m. on the northbound side of Route 31, according to those at the scene. As of 9:15 a.m., all lanes are closed and detoured while the accident is being investigated, the DOT is reporting.

State Police Sgt. Leyton of the Kingwood Barracks said the tractor-trailer was traveling north on Route 31 around 9 a.m. and a Lexus driven by the 96-year-old man was crossing Route 31 on Rocktown Road when the two vehicles collided.
