2 Dead in Crash on NJ Turnpike Extension: State Police

One person was pronounced dead after a collision involving three vehicles just near the toll booths of the westbound lanes of the New Jersey Turnpike Extension at exit 14C in Jersey City, state police said. Three other people were taken to Jersey City Medical Center, where one of them also died, police said. 

Funeral set for teacher, daughter killed in Turnpike crash

Online fundraisers have been set up to help the O'Donnell family. A YouCaring page has already raised more than $26,000, while a GoFundMe page has collected nearly $4,000.

“I’m struggling with how I survived cancer to have my life ripped apart from me,” O’Donnell told the station in a tearful interview.

DRIVER CHARGED IN NEW JERSEY TURNPIKE CRASH HAD 28 LICENSE SUSPENSIONS, STATE SAYS

According to the New Jersey Motor Vehicles Commission, since Hahn received his driver's license when he was 17 years old he has received 28 license suspensions over the course of his driving history. The majority were for administrative reasons like non-payment of surcharges for example and were administrative suspensions, the state says. His last suspension was in 2010. He has no record of accidents, no record of DWI or DUI.

A memorial softball tournament for a father and daughter killed in a horrific car crash in Jersey City earlier this year has been postponed to July 23.

Fundraiser for father, daughter killed in Turnpike crash set for Saturday

Proceeds from the tournament will help a local high school student attend college. The admission fee for the event is $10, but free for children 7 and under.

The charity event is set to run from noon to 6 p.m. at the Bayonne Little League complex at 200 West First St.

The foundation, which raises awareness for a state-run system for motorists to report dangerous drivers, was founded in memory of Tim O'Donnell, 48, and his 5-year-old daughter Bridget, who were killed Feb. 22, 2016 when their car was rear-ended at the 14C toll plaza on the Hudson County Extension.   

Woman whose family died in Turnpike crash sues her former attorney

The complaint alleges Peter Cresci, whom O’Donnell hired as her attorney immediately after the tragic deaths of her husband Tim, 48, and 5-year-old daughter Bridget, sent a notice of tort claim meant for the NJ Turnpike to the wrong address, the complaint states.
