Woman badly hurt in crash, Route 46 closed for hours in Mine Hill Friday

Two vehicles — a 2014 Lexus and a 2012 Hyundai — collided head-on near 111 Route 46 at about 12:44 p.m., Wharton Police Lt. David Young said. One of the two vehicles had impacted another vehicle prior to the head-on crash, Young said.

Two seriously injured in 3 car crash in Mine Hill

Sgt. William Zimmerman is investigating the accident with assistance from the Morris County Prosecutor's Office and the Morris County Sheriff's Office. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact Zimmerman at 862-397-2739.
The 35-year-old woman was taken by helicopter to Morristown Medical Center in critical condition and the 41-year-old woman was taken to the same place via ambulance. The third driver involved was uninjured.
