APD responded around 10 pm. to Central Avenue and Edith Boulevard, where they discovered a bicyclist was traveling westbound in the ART lane on Central when an ART bus was traveling eastbound in the same lane. That's when the bicyclist hit the bus head-on.

She said APD responded shortly before 10 p.m. to a crash at Central and Edith and the bicyclist was taken to a hospital in critical condition. Atkins said the man was riding his bike westbound in the ART lane and the bus was headed east when the crash occurred.
