A 23-year-old Texas woman is dead as a result of a skiing accident in southern New Mexico.
The Lincoln County Sheriff Robert Shepperd says 23-year-old Jackueline Caballero of El Paso died Saturday afternoon when she lost control and struck a tree while on an intermediate slope at Ski Apache near Ruidoso.
Shepperd says the state medical investigator will determine the exact cause of death.
