Damage was extensive after a 16-year-old driver drove her vehicle through the glass doors at the Lakeside Market on Lake Street in the Village of Wilson.

The driver, Katelyn Myers, of Wilson, was taken to a hospital for examination, but she was not seriously hurt. according to a Niagara County Sheriff's Capt.

Her mother, Carie Myers, who was her passenger, escaped injury, and nobody inside the store was hurt, police said.

“She said she thought she was in reverse, then she hit the gas pedal and drove right through the glass doors,” said police. He said the vehicle drove about halfway into the store and the force of the crash took both doors off.

No charges were issued.
