Man dies in crash with tractor-trailer

The highway was closed for six hours while the scene was cleared. The crash is still under investigation.

St. Regis Falls man dies after car and tractor-trailer collide Friday in Dickinson

Mr. Youmell reportedly stopped for a stop sign at the intersection of Route 11B, then entered the intersection into the path of a 2015 Volvo tractor-trailer rig being operated eastbound on State Route 11B by David M. Meunier, 43, of St. Albans, Vt.
A tractor-trailer collided with a vehicle at the intersection of Route 11B and County Route 5 in Dickinson at 5:11 p.m. Friday. John Youmell, 78, from St. Regis Falls, New York, was at a stop sign at the intersection when he pulled out into the path of a tractor- trailer driven by David Meunier, 43, of St. Albans, Vermont. Youmell was pronounced deceased at the scene of the collision. His body was brought to Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone for an autopsy.
