MTA: Engineer saw woman jump in front of train in Purdys

A train engineer saw the woman jump in front of the train on the tracks near the north end of the platform, said Meredith Daniels, a spokeswoman for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority.

Police: Foul play not suspected after woman is struck, killed by Metro-North train

There was no video surveillance at the platform, but police say foul play does not appear to be involved.

The 20-year-old woman was seen by a train engineering jumping on the tracks at the north end of the platform for unknown reasons.

The 20-year-old woman struck and killed by a Metro-North train on Saturday was identified by the MTA on Monday as Lauren McCormick of Goldens Bridge.

Although the incident does not appear to involve foul play, MTA police detectives continue to investigate, Daniels said. 
Though no foul play appears to be involved, police are still investigating the accident.
