Two pedestrians struck, one critically hurt, in front of Starrett City building

The driver abandoned his 2003 Mercury Mountaineer SUV on the sidewalk and ran off on foot following crashing into the two pedestrians, authorities said. Both victims had been rushed to Brookdale University Hospital.
A driver fleed on foot after he slammed into a man and woman near the intersection of Seaview Ave. and Louisiana Ave in Brooklyn about 1:50 a.m. on Saturday. The man, 27, was fighting for his life soon after the driver slammed into him and a 32-year-old woman in Starrett City. The driver abandoned his 2003 Mercury Mountaineer SUV on the sidewalk and ran off on foot. Both victims had been rushed to Brookdale University Hospital. The woman suffered only minor injuries.
