Authorities say they are looking for a tan SUV in connection with the hit-run. Collision investigators were checking to see if any nearby surveillance cameras captured the crash.

The NYPD Collision Investigation Squad is conducting an investigation, and anyone with information is urged to contact police.
Ramsarup was walking south on 108th Street near its intersection with Glenwood Road at about 5:30 a.m., when a southbound car hit her and left the area. She was taken to the hospital before being pronounced dead a short time later. Police are still searching for the driver responsible for this collision, and have described the vehicle involved as a tan SUV.
