Two people are dead after a fishing boat capsized in Jamaica Bay Friday night, tossing them and three other anglers into storm-swept waters, authorities say. The two people in critical condition died a short time later.

They were both taken to Mount Sinai Beth Israel in cardiac arrest, and pronounced dead there on Friday night, the police said. The police identified them as Ricardo Mejia, 42 and Joel Ortiz, 49.
