Male driver injured in multi-vehicle collision involving disabled car on Gowanus Expressway in Brooklyn, New York

A motorist miraculously survived after his car was crushed in a horrific crash on a Brooklyn expressway early Thursday. They then dragged the second truck, which had rear-ended the Toyota, back three feet. The ill-fated Toyota then hit the minivan and a second truck slammed into the Toyota. “Between the truck and the minivan, the Toyota was mangled almost like an accordion,” said Det. Police officers stabilized the minivan so it wouldn’t fall over by wrapping a chain around its rear windows and attaching the chain to an ESU truck. Firefighters arrived and worked to extricate the driver of the Toyota, who was trapped.
