According to the FDNY, marine and land units responded to the Hudson River off of West 46th Street and Pier 84 in Midtown Manhattan just after 2:45 p.m.

A woman and a 7-year-old child were killed when a chartered boat capsized in the Hudson River on Tuesday, sending all 12 people aboard into water, New York City officials said.

Two other people are in critical condition including the captain of the boat, while one other is in critical but stable condition. Six other victims are also in stable condition.

The victims who died were identified as 7-year-old Julian Vasquez, from Florida, and 47-year-old Lindelia Vasquez, from Colombia, who were part of a group of family members who got onto the jet boat named Stimulus Money in Elizabeth, New Jersey, for a trip on the Hudson River.

Boat owner and pilot charged in deadly New York boat accident that killed 2 passengers

Richard Cruz, 32, and Jaime Pinilla Gomez, 25, were charged with one count each of misconduct and neglect of a ship officer resulting in death, according to the US attorney’s office for the Southern District of New York.
