Andrea M. Raszl, 29, killed, after her car, traveling at a high rate of speed, crashes into a guardrail on State Route 13 near Altmar, ejecting her from the vehicle.
Altmar woman killed in one-vehicle crash involving guardrail.
An Altmar woman has died after crashing into a guardrail early Thursday morning, according to the Oswego County Sheriff's Office.
Andrea M. Raszl, 29, was going east on state Route 13 around 3:37 a.m. when she hit the guardrail and was thrown from her Chevrolet Venture. Raszl was declared dead at the scene.
A news release from the sheriff's office said "unsafe speed, no seat belt, crossing hazardous markings and alcohol appear to be contributing factors" in the accident.
Sheriff's Investigator Matthew C. Bray, who wrote the news release, would not say if that meant Raszl was found to have been drunk and speeding. He said that alcohol was found in her car.
NOCA Ambulance, the Altmar Fire Department and the Williamstown Fire Department were among the agencies responding to the crash, which occurred near state Route 13's intersection with Austin Road.
