According to the Wayne County Office of the Sheriff, Tyler Parsons of Palmyra, 18, was walking westbound on the north shoulder of Route 31 when he was struck by a car. The driver was traveling westbound.

It is reported that Mr. Parsons was semiconscious and was flown via Mercy Flight to Strong Memorial Hospital, where he is being treated for leg and head injuries.
