I-77 SB reopens following fuel spill, construction workers hit by impaired driver

Highway Patrol says an impaired driver, identified as Charles Breeding, drove through a construction zone and slammed into three empty construction trucks before hitting five construction workers. All five workers were hospitalized, but are expected to be OK.

Troopers say that Breeding was traveling north on I-77 near the Brookshire Freeway exit when he was too disoriented to follow traffic cones set out by workers. Authorities say he then hit three work truck trucks and hit the workers. 

Bartender, bar won't face charges for over-serving drunken patron

A Charlotte bar and bartender will not face charges after Mecklenburg County ABC officers said they could not find evidence of over-serving at Snug Harbor bar at Midway Plaza in February.
