Burlington woman killed in I-40 accident

State Highway Patrol reported that Hemingway’s sister was traveling behind her in a separate car at the time of the accident. 

Burlington woman killed in wreck on eastbound I-40 in Alamance County

Witnesses told Highway Patrol the accident was caused due to a vehicle trying to avoid debris on the roadway.
North Carolina Highway State Highway Patrol says that Paris Bonet Hemingway, 25, of Burlington was traveling eastbound on I-40/85 at around 8 a.m. Tuesday. A vehicle merged to avoid debris from a tractor trailer, and Hemingway attempted to merge in order to avoid a collision. Her Subaru struck a traffic wall near exit 150, causing it to spin and come to a stop facing southwest. She was brought to Alamance Regional Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead at 9:40 a.m.
