Teen killed, 6 injured in head-on crash with school bus in Guilford County

A teenager was killed and six other people were injured in a head-on crash involving a school bus and a car Wednesday. The teen driver, the teen passenger and two other minors in the car were taken to Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro. The bus driver and a 12-year-old student from Hairston Middle School had minor injuries. Kie Landon Johnson, 17, of Whitsett, died at the scene of the crash around 4:30 p.m. on Knox Road south of McLeansville. Troopers said Jacob Almon Larkin, 18, of Whitsett, was driving the Toyota south on Knox Road when it crossed the center line and into the path of the northbound school bus.
