3 injured in multi-vehicle crash in Davidson County

Three women were taken to the hospital, one via helicopter, following a multi-vehicle crash in Davidson County Monday morning. 
The collision happened on Highway 109 south of Thomasville. Bettie Stone, 71, of Thomaville, was airlifted to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Doris Carter, 64, of Thomasville, and Jane McGill, 61, of Jamestown, were transported to Baptist. Stone was traveling north on Hwy. 109 when her vehicle crossed into the oncoming lane and struck Carter's vehicle. Stone's vehicle then collided with McGill's vehicle head on, troopers said. Stone was issued a citation.
