Police searching for driver in deadly hit-and-run crash

The North Carolina Highway Patrol has identified two people of interest in connection to a hit-and-run crash that killed an 18-month-old boy. Police are asking anyone who recognizes the woman, or the vehicle, in the photos, to call the North Carolina Highway Patrol. Authorities believe the driver of the vehicle crashed into a pickup truck on Highway 66 in Walkertown about 20 minutes before the surveillance images were taken. Surveillance images show a woman walking out of the Wilco Hess gas station at Highway 66 and Highway 8 and getting into a black Cadillac. The youngest passenger, Mason Roten, died as a result of the injuries he sustained in the crash.
