1 killed, 3 hurt in Durham crash

One person was killed and three were injured Wednesday night in an alcohol-related crash involving three vehicles in Durham, police said Thursday.
Shortly before 8 p.m. Wednesday on Fayetteville Road near Cook Road, a vehicle driven by Daryl Brooks, 41, of Durham, struck the back of a vehicle driven by Kelwin Biggs, 53, of Durham. Biggs’ vehicle then struck an oncoming vehicle driven by Nyasia Clifton, 20, of Durham. Biggs died at the scene, while Brooks, Clifton and a passenger in Clifton’s vehicle, Katherine McKoy, 21, were all transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Brooks faces charges of driving while impaired and driving while license revoked.
