6 injured in crash involving NC school bus

Officials say a half dozen people were hurt when a Johnston County school bus was hit by an SUV and then hit another vehicle.

Johnston County school bus involved in wreck; several injuries reported

Several people were taken to local hospitals Tuesday morning after a bus bound for Selma Elementary School was hit by a car northeast of Selma, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.

At around 7:45 a.m. an SUV struck a Johnston County school bus, and the impact forced the bus into another vehicle. The bus was on its way to Selma Elementary School. Four people in the SUV were taken to WakeMed hospital. One child on the bus and the driver of the third vehicle were hospitalized. More information posted as it becomes available.
