Joshua Andrew Challeen, 43, killed in collision with commercial van on U.S. 17 in Brunswick County, North Carolina

The van reportedly was operating with amber and clear lights to warn of its slow travel as it was conducting a survey on fiber optic cable on the shoulder of the road. A 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Challeen also was traveling north on U.S. 17 and struck the back of the van.
