Father, son die after jet ski hits fishing pier off North Carolina coast

Coroner's office identifies victims of jet ski accident in Sunset Beach

According to officials, John Wernowsky, 51, of Acworth, Georgia was driving the jet ski that hit the pier at the Sunset Beach Wildlife Resource Commission Boat Ramp. His son Jake, 10, also passed away from injuries suffered in the crash. The family was at Sunset Beach on vacation when the accident happened.
