Two killed, two injured in Medina County car crash

The Town & Country also veered off the west side of the street and into a field. 
According to Ohio State Highway Patrol, on Sunday night an 84-year-old Wellington man was driving a 2007 Chryster Town & Country when he ran a stop sign at the intersection of West Smith Road and State Route 83, crashing into a 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser driven by Jessica L. Shortland of Wakeman. The PT Cruiser went off the west side of the road and rolled over several times, ejecting Shortland and her passenger, Mary R. Curney of Elyria. The driver of the minivan and his passenger, an 80-year-old Wellington woman, were first brought to Medina Hospital before being transported in serious condition to the MetroHealth Medical Center. Shortland and Curney were brought Medina Hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
