Interstate 71 reopening near CLE airport after accident closing

Access to Cleveland Hopkins International Airport was affected as the traffic standstill spilled back to Ohio 237 and I-480.

Multiple people were transported by EMS. The cause of the accident was not immediately available.
Police started to reopen southbound lanes of Interstate 71 at about 9 p.m. Saturday, just after an accident the highway for more than an hour between I-480 and Snow Road, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation. The accident, which happened shortly after 7:30 p.m. Saturday, involved two vehicles, according to spotters. No further details have been offered. Access to Cleveland Hopkins International Airport was impacted as the backed up traffic spilled back to Ohio 237 and I-480.
