Two injured in Cleveland wrong-way crash caused by drunken driver, police say

A 47-year-old Cleveland man was driving his Ford Taurus north in the southbound lanes when he struck a U-Haul truck, police said. The driver of the Taurus and a 54-year-old Cleveland man in the passenger's seat of the U-Haul were taken to MetroHealth. The 57-year-old Cleveland man driving the U-Haul wasn't hurt. The driver of the Taurus told investigators he didn't know he was driving in the wrong direction, officials said. He is expected to face drunken-driving charges.

"I went over to the right and he went the same way, and just hit us head on," Wynn said. "We hit the wall. I said 'God, please, don't let us go over the wall.'"
