Crash in Middlefield Township injures 10 people, including 8 Amish

EMS crews from Middlefield, Hamden Township, Montville Township and Windsor Township responded to the scene. Yeropoli said all of the injured were transported to University Hospitals Geauga Medical Center in Claridon Township. The trooper said there is no evidence of drugs or alcohol being involved in the crash. It remains under investigation, he said.

10 People Injured In Crash In Northeast Ohio

he (Cleveland) Plain Dealer reports that none of the injuries were life-threatening, although the father, 33-year-old Joe Miller, may have suffered a head injury.      A woman driving the Traverse, and the driver of the van also were injured.
Ten people have been sent to the hospital in northeast Ohio following a two-car accident at the intersection of Nauvoo Road and Ohio 528 in Middlefield Township. The incident occured around 9:00 p.m. Sunday, October 12 when the Amish family, driving a Chevrolet Traverse, was struck by an elderly man driving a van. Occupants of the Traverse included Barbara Miller, 32, Joe Miller, 33, a 62-year-old woman, and six children, a 3 1/2-month-old girl, a 3-year-old boy, a 6-year-old girl, a 9-year-old boy, a 12-year-old girl and a 15-year-old girl. The driver of the van, an elderly man from Middlefield, and the driver of the Traerse, had to be cut from their vehicles. Injuries are reported as non life-threatening, though Mr. Miller may have suffered head trauma.
