Most of the eastbound lanes of I-70 have reopened after a multi-vehicle crash had closed a section of the interstate on the East Side earlier this evening.

Only one of the four lanes remains closed after the others opened around 6 p.m.

Columbus police were called at 5:10 p.m. to the eastbound lanes of I-70, between the Alum Creek Drive exit and Rt. 33.

At least one person was trapped in a vehicle and Columbus Fire medics worked to get the victim out.

One person was taken to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center, but police and fire did not have information about the victim's name or the extent of injuries.

The crash reportedly also involved at least one tractor-trailer.
