Man injured in wrong-way car accident on Interstate 270 in Columbus, Ohio

Overnight Wrong-Way Crash Injures 1

Police suspect alcohol is a factor in a single vehicle wrong-way crash Saturday on the city's northwest side. 
Police received reports of a car accident on the northwest side of Columbus, Ohio after 4:00 AM this morning. They arrived at the scene and found that the driver was driving east in the westbound lanes of Interstate 270 when he lost control and crashed. The car left the freeway and landed beneath the overpass onto Smoky Row Road. Medics sent the driver to Riverside Methodist Hospital in stable condition. The accident is still under investigation, however alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash. We will have more information on this accident as it becomes available.
