Millersport woman, 76, dies in wreck

The patrol said Mr. Starr was driving south on Rt. 661 when he failed to stop at a red light and his vehicle was struck by an eastbound Dodge pickup truck driven by 57-year-old Gwen Ludwig.
An elderly woman is dead after a Friday night car accident in Licking County, Ohio. The State Highway Patrol said that Wilma J. Starr, 76, died in the accident, which occuredd just before 9 p.m. at the intersection of Rts. 62 and 661 in Burlington Township, about 4 miles west of Utica. She was riding in a Chevrolet Cavalier operated by her husband, Charles T. Starr, 71. Investigators state that Mr. Starr failed to stop at a red light and his vehicle was struck by an eastbound Dodge pickup truck driven by 57-year-old Gwen Ludwig as he was heading south on Rt. 661. According to officers, Mrs. Starr was not wearing a seat belt. Mr. Starr, 71, was medevac'ed to Ohio State University’s Wexner Medical Center. The couple are from Millersport. Ludwig, of Utica, was also trasnported to Wexner Medical Center. Their conditions have not been released. An additional vehicle was also involed in the accident after the initlal collision occured, however its driver was uninjured. We will have more details on this tragic story as they emerge.
