Semi driver airlifted after morning crash

Mohamed Hussein Mohamed, 27, was driving a white 2015 Freightliner Cascadia tractor trailer west on Ohio 29 just before 4:30 a.m. when he went off the right side of the road at a curve, according to a news release from the Champagin County Sheriff’s Office.

Semi slams into trees injuring driver

Medics treated both men. The driver was airlifted to Miami Valley Hospital.

2 injured in semi-truck crash near Rosewood

The four-county Sheriff’s Accident Investigation Team consisting of Champaign, Union, Logan and Hardin counties responded to the crash because of the severity and seriousness of the injury. Rosewood Fire and Riverside EMS also responded the the scene.
 

Mohamed Hussein Mohamed and his passenger Mohamed Muhamed Gedi, 26, were riding in a white tractor-trailer traveling west on Ohio 29 when the driver lost control and went off the road. The tractor-trailer went through a fence and crashed into trees. The passenger pulled the driver out of the wreck. The driver was airlifted to a hospital in Dayton, and is listed in serious condition. The passenger refused treatment. The accident is still under investigation.
