Driver, 19, injured in Auglaize County crash

A 19-year-old Houston woman suffered serious injuries following a two-vehicle accident on state Route 66 near state Route 219. According to the Ohio Highway Patrol post at Wapakoneta, the accident actually involved three vehicles — a Ford Focus, a Pontiac Grand Prix and a Kenworth semitrailer — all headed north on 66. The preliminary investigation suggests that the 19-year-old, identified as Hunter Smith, was turning left to enter a private driveway when the Pontiac stopped abruptly to avoid colliding with Smith’s car and the semitrailer. The semi driven by Ernest Raber, 68, of Clyde, was steered into the left lane to avoid the Pontiac and hit Smith’s car.

Hunter Smith is my best friend. If anybody is wondering, she is doing fine in the hospital. She had some pretty bad injuries, but the doctor's said she is recovering well.
