Driver in deadly 2014 Shelby crash sent to prison

The sheriff'€™s office received multiple calls from customers at the store who saw a man fitting Graber'€™s description, the Shelby County Sheriff'€™s Office said in a statement. Shelby County Sheriff'€™s Office is searching for Carl Graber, 33, who fled a crash Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014, that killed his passenger Brittany Elliott. The crash remains under investigation by the Shelby County Sheriff'€™s Office. A CareFlight medical helicopter initially was on standby for the crash, according to dispatch reports. Saturday in the 1000 block of Lindsey Road, according to the Shelby County Sheriff'€™s Office.

Reward offered for driver who fled fatal crash

Anyone with information is urged to call the sheriff’s office at 937-498-1111. Callers may remain anonymous, according to the sheriff’s office.
Law enforcement officers are looking for the driver of a pickup truck involved in a crash that killed his passenger, 23-year-old Brittany Elliott of Sidney. Carl Graber, 33, of Sidney, fled the crash scene that happened around 11:30 p.m. Saturday in the 1000 block of Lindsey Road. A reward is offered for information leading to the capture of Graber, who is facing charges of vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of an accident.  Brittany Elliott, 23, died in the accident in Turtle Creek Twp. Saturday night. A preliminary investigation reveals that Carl Graber, 33 was driving a 2003 Ford F-150 southbound on Lindsey Road when he traveled over railroad tracks at high speed, lost control and went off the roadway and struck a tree. Alcohol and speed are suspected factors in the accident.
